NICOLE FOR BIG WINNER

c/o sir ward

I am a Cebuano, but I am tempted to answer this question.

I was surprised myself when Josef said that Ejay is his big winner. But I have a strong feeling that if he was asked his 2nd winner, it would be Nicole. Josef must have realized that Big Winners do not have a career in showbiz (except for Kim Chiu). And that Ejay needs the prize more than Nicole. However, this does not mean that he cares less for Nicole as much as we In-chickers do.

Why Nicole should be the Big Winner?

Brains - she graduated salutatorian from Southcrest, an elite school in Cebu where only the best young minds can enter. She topped mental exams inside the house - e.g. geography and driving theory. She is perceptive and analytical, she perfectly knew how Shy tried to judge her, to make her jealous, which she did not bite; she analyzed how Robi tried to put the world's problems on his shoulders, and initiated an open forum to release the load and pent up feelings. She passed the college entrance exams in the best universities of the Philippines - UP, Ateneo, La Salle. She knows that PBB is trying to test the character of the HMs so the whole country would know them better. There are many instances where being smart is not only the domain of Rona and Robi - she is not just the showy type - but I can't write a novel here.

Sincerity / honesty / genuine demeanor - she is just being herself, not pretentious, does not harbor hate, not vindictive, and has opened up her shell from the previous image of being shy and silent. She is true with her feelings - walang kyime with what she feels and honest by telling the whole world about it. She is loyal, has never put a friend down, and took her nominations in a cool and calm manner. She is honest and truthful with her emotions and is brave enough to tell people about it. She is humble, does not brag about her accomplishments, very soft spoken and tactful.

Independence in the midst of conservatism - she has learned to stand on her principles despite the strong conservative values of her mother.

Beauty - no one can deny that ... very telegenic, photogenic ... and when the cameras focus on her .... her beauty exudes even when irate, sad, happy, or confused. And Valerie must have felt so insecure!

Brawns - she is sports-minded. She is a volleyball varsity player in high school, a good swimmer, and an outstanding athlete in her school.

She comes from a family that is very hardworking ... a working middle class family that realizes that it takes sweat and tears to be able to live decently and comfortably. In real life, Nicole has absorbed these values.

There so many things that I admire in Nicole ... but I don't have the luxury of time and space to write them all here. I saw them all on TV.
